The black orchid flower
Which grows on your trees
Became a national symbol
For the country of Belize
 
The tapir is the animal
That you preferred
Keel billed toucan
You named for the bird

Thousands live here
From all ethnic groups
Because of your freedom
They put down their roots

As you continue to grow
Remember your past
Belize is our home
